Hi,

I would love to join in this group. But I find very little time to read with an active toddler. What book are you all reading for this month? I'm trying to get"My Sister's Keeper" book from the library.

Thanks!

Hi All,

Just saw this online book discussion group. Sounds very good. What is the book for the month of May?
I saw some readers mentioning My Sisters Keeper..I read that book and liked it. Depressing.
For my bookclub in my neighborhood, this month we read The Mango Season by Amulya Malladi. All of my friends loved it!!! I made it into a theme night by serving them different varieties of mango pickles (avakkai..like it is mentioned in the book), mango lassi, mango buscuits and of course fresh mangoes. It was a huge hit!!!

Thanks
Thyla

I was thinking of starting a new thread - an online reading club - here for people who are interested in reading books.

Most of us would be reading different types of books, some of us probably once or twice a month, or even three or four books every week. So, if you like any particular book that you are reading and would recommend others to read it, please post it here. We can also probably tell each other what we liked about that book (I have gone through the other threads here, and we do have a lot of fantastic reviewers here), so that others who would like to read it would also get interested in it.

And yes, no spoilers :)!

I was thinking of one good book every month, hoping that is a good pace for everyone of us to follow. The first week of the month, we'll get suggestions from each other on good books to read that month, and then review the "chosen one" - the one that most people recommend reading. And the rest of the month we'll read the book as well as write reviews about the previous month's book(s).

So, before we start, I would like to hear from people if you find this idea interesting. The month of February is about to end, so I guess that would leave us about three or four days to get responses. If everyone is happy with this idea, we can start in March.

Also, if you have a suggestion or ideas based on this, please let me know.

So, please let me know what you think. Looking forward to your responses :)!
