Default Books!

Hi Vandhana,
Thats a wonderful list that you have put.. I have read almost the entire works of Agatha, Sherlock, Wodhouse, Jeffrey Archer and John Grisham..not to mention Sydney!:) . I enjoyed most of them actually...I like Crichton too...I read this book "Lost Horizon" by James Hitlon when I was in school and it was really good. May be you have read it...if not I would definitely recommend it! I am plannin to get Daphne Du Maurier sometime..! I have stopped reading after I started working...when i go through these thread..I feel like its time for me to get back in to that mode again!

Hiya!

Me too luv books - only i wish i was able to find more time to pursue my luv of reading. Really liked the list, some of my favourites also include Daphne du Maurier n John Grisham. Have recently read a couple of books by Shashi Tharoor and i think his Great Indian Novel is a wonderful hilarious one and is a must read for all of us.

hi guys,

this is just great. All my favourite authors and books are posted here. Hmmm . Rebecca is a masterpiece. The emotions expressed in the book is just awesome. It is years since I read this book. But I still remember the scene where the second wife what is her name Jane dresses like Rebecca to the ball and then offends her husbandwho is totally livid and asks her to change immediately and then she comes back to the room and the description of her emotions in one or two pages is simple awesome and exactly what we would go through in a similar situation. Oh I wish to read it again. Will find out in the local library. In case you have not read daphne du Maurier's My cousin Rachel and a collection of short stories. They are also very very good.

Hi Vandana and other Ladies,

Please give me good book suggestions for my 12 year old boy. He has finished the usual Harry Potter, read several Hardy boys and the likes. He has also read books like Robinson cruso, Robin Hood, Tom Sawyer.....Currently he is onto Hitchcock books. But I'd like him to read different types..

Thanks!
