For dark neck

My neck is very dark. Can u suggest any homeremedy for me.

Hi, i too have the problem. The darkness occurs due to several reasons.
1. could be the suntan. our neck has sensitive skin, so when it get exposed to the sun, it gets dark.
2. could be tyroid problem. check with your doc.
i use a home remedy. I give it to you . Hope it could help you.
take 1 tbl spoon tomoto juice, 1 tblsp. lemon juice,and 1 tblsp curd . mix and apply . wait for it to dry. wash it. could do it 2 or 3 times a week. can be applied on arms to. it reduces the tan gradually. avoid exposure to sun immediately after removing this pack.

Also try fruit pack from Bio-tech on your neck. it reduces the darkness.
All these will take a while. be patient and keep applying. you will see the result.

Eat lot of greens,sprouts and veg. Drink lot of water.
Wear close necked dress. it helps a lot too.

The darker neck results mostly from the oil, we mostly apply to our hair. The oil attracts dirt and gets sticky. With suntan, it gets worse.
What you have to do is to apply cleansing milk daily atleast twice to your neck and clean it. If you do not have cleansing milk with you , you can use ordinary milk also.
When you use scrub for your face, use it for the neck also. You can use the mix Sharon said. Leave it to dry and wash it off. It'll help bleach the area. You can add besan with that and use it as a scrub too.
Pay some attention to the neck area. You will get the colour back.

Hopefully you can see soem result. You basically need to do some lightenign treatment there.

i have few points to add
dark neck has few medical reasons also
1.a condition called acanthosis nigrecans (hope my spelling is correct)
2.an indication of family history of diabetes(hope i am not worrying u ppl) u can observe dark under arms in these people also
3. obesity
4. pcod problems along wht harmonal imbalances
Best treatement is to start walking or some sort of excersise which would reduce if any of the above have realtionship.

IF not u can follow ur beauty treatments with intense moisturisers (venusia frm dr reddys which has vit E squelene and alovera)
Suncross (sunscreen ranbaxy )

occasional galvanic treatments are gud where ionic changes take place
you can also try chemical peels (glycolic peels)
AHA facials

drink lots of water

Yes RV is right. Harmonal problems could also cause it. I ahve seen many women suffer this during preganancy.

Sometimes your chain mixed with sweat also causes black layer on your neck.
I once used a mild steroid cream - Diprovate RD for this to go away. But recommend a doctor before you do this.

Hi everyone. I am new to IL. My daughter had the same problem. One thing i found was to use coconut milk on the dark spot. it is really effective. Thai canned coconut milk is available in Indian stores. That is equally effective . Mixing it with neem powder and turmeric powder is another variation. I hope this helps.
