Question Suitable name for Baby Boy

Hello Everybody

I am an expecting mother. My due date is during Mid February 2006. The doctors reports says that its baby boy. Now, the main confusion is to choose a name for my baby. :?

I belong to a Tamil Brahmin family. Accordingly, suggest me some names for a baby boy (Preferably with meanings) that’s traditional, simple and easy to pronounce.

Hope to get some favorable responses from IL Members.

Regards

Lakshmi

Default Baby names

Dear Lakshmi,

Best wishes for a smooth delivery!

I love asking expectant/just delivered parents for the names that they might have in mind...it's kinda strange, but I have loved asking this question over and over again!!!

Did you check this website, though it has just a few names(with meanings) for every letter, it sure seems to suit your requirements.

http://www.saranam.com/Astrology/male-a.asp

Let me know if you have any specifications w.r.t the names.

Cheerio-
Shal

Default Strange names

Hello Lakshmi,

I thought of the following strange names...

Mithilesh - Lord of Mithila (Sita's father)
Mukul - earth / soul
Tarun - youthful
Navneet - Lord Krishna
Naveen - New
Nikhil - Complete
Yogesh - Lord of yoga

Hope you like few of them.

Wish you good luck with your pregnancy and a safe delivery!

Take care,

Rathi

Default Thanks Shal & Rathi

Dear Shal & Rathi

Thanks for your replies. I have made the note of few names suggested by you. Now, the next step would be to match these shortlisted names horoscopically.

Regards

Lakshmi

Default Hi.

Hi Lakshmi,

Go thro' vishnu sahasranamam and you will find plenty of sanskrit names(Lord vishnu's) like sashank, anirudh, vinay etc. and even in Aditya hridhayam-my son's name is also aditya, bhaskar, rohit, anshuman, mihir etc. for Lord sun..Other than that, pranav is Lord ganesha's guess, aakash(cloud), varun(rain), abhinav, niyanth, sisheer, vibav etc.

Rgds.
