Question: Is Nakshatra a girl's name or boy's name?

Little confused as different sites say different things.

According to Hinduism, all the 27 Nakshatras are the daughters of Daksha and wives of moon (some say they are daughters of Kashyapa).

Naksha is approach and tra is guard in Sanskrit.

But when pronounced looks like a neutral name
