What is the meaning of this name ?

My friend is expecting her second baby girl. Her first baby's name is Manasvini. She wants her second baby's name also to end with "..ni" .
We have listed few names and one of them is "Manodini".
But we are not able to find out the meaning of this name.

Can anyone tell whats the meaning of "Manodini" or "Manodhini" ??
She liked this name but wants to know the meaning before she can name her baby

U can tell ur friend to keep the name as "Yasaswini" which will end with "ni".

Gayathri - thanks for the suggestion. we already have 'Yashaswini' on the list. But its a very common name. so thinking of some unique or rare name.

Kanmani - thanks for the meaning. Seeing the meaning I feel my friend will select this name for sure .
btw 'Kanmani' is also a nice name. If you give permission, we will add it to our list.

That was an interesting one. I have cousins named Nalini, Harini, Janani, Dharani. U have so many names ending with ni, Barani, Ranjani, Kalyani, Varshini, Ragini, Pamini, Kamini, Yamini,Nandini, Roopini, Mohini, Sathyini, Shantini, Dharmavardhini. U can check out Lalitha Sahasranamam or Tirisadi for such names.

I assume, these would be the near meanings:

Mohini- beautiful one, one who charms the mind. From MahaVishnu's manifestation as a female form.

tapaswini- a female engaged in tapas,meditation. A female hermit

Shalini- beautiful one, one with lovely limbs

Salini- I checked this one out, so the following is from Devotion to Lord Murugan one of six sections of Hinduism
Salini is a chaste woman who guards pregnant women. Salini is supposed to be another name of Arundathi. Pls verify this. I may be inaccurate.

Malini- a garlended one. In LAkshmi Ashtottaram there it is said, 'Harineem Hema Malineem'
