Can someone tell me the meaning of the name Aswathi(y)??? I couldn't find the meaning from the Google search.

I think it means the unknown, if i am not mistaken.

I don't know the meaning, but Aswathi, (also known as Aswini), is first star in the list of birth stars (janma nakshatram)

But as far as I know Aswathi is not star. Aswini or Swathi r the name of the stars which can be confused with this name.
