| Hi Nayan, As per my knowledge, Change of name /endorsement of spouse name requires issue of a new passport booklet. I would like to share some more information regarding this- For change of surname,fill tjhe "Application Form for an Indian Passport" along with original copy of marriage certificate and submit the prescribed fees.

| Hi, All u need to do is just fill up the application form, get the copies of your marriage certificate and a copy of your spouse's passport. There will be an entry at the back of your passport in the miscellaneous section or there will be an entry in one of the pages. Its done in a day, ie. u submit the form in the morn and in the eve they give it to you. I got it done this way at Chennai office. Hope this helps, Poornima. |
