Work in US Info needed(With H1-B Sponser)

Hello Frends in USA,

I plan to migrate to US and work there for some years,ofcourse with a Job to reach there.Hence,Can you please help me out with contacts,where I can reach out to in US (Consultancies ,Companies,People),to see if I can get through companies,who in-turn will sponser my H1 Visa.

Hi savi,

H1B quota for 2007 became full in April 2007 itself. Now one can apply for H1B visa in April 2008 and can start job effective 1st Oct 2008.

But H1B visa transfers can be done anytime although quota for 2007 is full.

Thanks a lot, Megha for the Info.While actually I'm aware of the Quota for next year,what I'm really looking at this point of time is,a Company /Consultancy in US,who can offer me a Job right away and help me with sponsering of the Visa for the coming year 2008,so that I can apply in April 2008 and be in US and work around October 2008 TimeFrame.

How much does it cost for sum1 to apply Who takes the sponsorship ?? Companies right ? So if someone is unemployed, what would this person do ?

Typically it will cost anywhere between $ 3k to $4K.

They want you to put up the money while they apply for the visa.

If the visa quota is over applied there is a chance that you may not get the visa. So the following things are important

• Ask them clearly how much money will be returned to you in case you dont get the visa
• Go with a big standard company - not some fly-by-night operator
• Keep proof of your payment - photocopy your cheque and preserve the bank statement which shows the company cashed your cheque.
• Do an internet search to see if others have had bad experience with that company.

It varies from one consultancy to other . Though our application is selected or not they keep the sum of $800 for themselves and if we apply through them next time they will give us discount of that amount in the new payment or else they will keep it to themselves.

I am planning to apply for H1 visa this time.The problem is most of the consultancies are processing visas of people having IT related fields .I have done MBA.Can anybody help me with consultancies which process such kind of applications.

Most of them do.You should just do your research to find a reliable one and apply . You should do it asap as usually on 1st day the H1 quota gets over subscribed.Find some friends or collegues who work here in consultanting companies and then proceed. That is one solution too.
