L2-EAD application procedure & documents required

    Hi friends,

    I am from Charlotte, NC. I am here under L2 visa. I got my SSN a month back. I would like to work here. So can any of you, who got EAD under L2 category, help me with the following queries:

    1) what is the procedure for applying EAD (especially for L2 category)?
    2) what are the documents required to be submitted along with the EAD application and in what sequence or order should the documents be arranged?

    I will be thankful, if you people could help me ..

    hello Shanaz

    I wont be able to answer your query.. but i have a Q instead... i am on L2 visa... and want to apply for SSN and EAD..can u apply both at the same time? or u need SSN to apply for EAD or vice versa?? i am really confused...pls help

    Hi Smilealways,

    I guess its EAD first, because when i applied for SSN 5yrs back they asked to show the EAD card.

    Even they didn't consider EAD approval letter, they want me to show EAD card, then only allowed me to apply for SSN.

    Well.. I applied for SSN first and then went for EAD.

    I applied for EAD after getting SSN..So not sure..I think there is a column to fill your SSN in I765 form

    Hi,

    After reading above replies i googled& fond that SSN can be applied without EAD by showing your Valid Foreirgn passport and I-94.
