I am moving to India from the US and need to know what i need to take before i leave. What are the important documents i need to carry for my kids and also from my employer.

we relocated to India this year.
1. Kids (Birth cert. to prove the age. and try to apply for schoold in oct, nov, dec only if you are trying for next year especially good schools like chirec, DPS otherwise you will end paying up some really high fees). I am not sure which city are you looking i am talking about hyd. since my kids are small(kindergarden) only, i didnot take any credential for them, may be you need them if ur kids are old enough.
2. Job (again i am in medical field, so i took only experience cert.. apart from that I didn't take anything here.)
3. House holds (you will get every thing here corelle to frying pans even hard andonised frying pans also but if you have good cooking set and have enough space to carry you can get it.)
The important thing I found out is schools and their entrance exam and people can be how competitive they can be. So better be prepared.
The last and important thing is ** please don't compare US and India once you come here both have it's pros and cons and be prepared(only my advice, hope u take it positively)**

I hope u got the answers regarding the documentation you need to carry. When are you moving and to which City in India? Do you need any other info?
