Default non-compete employment agreement

hi,
my husband recently changed his employer. He is on H1B.He signed an employement agreement while he was in india with non compete clause.now the old employer is tellinghim telling that my husband is violating the non compete clause of agreement.
my question

is this agreement which was signed in india legally valid in usa courts

Hi,

You can post your questions there and will get appropriate suggestions.
Also as I heard bonded labour is not allowed in US.But the employer can claim the "Liqudation damages"(airfares,initial accomdation,traning etc) depending on what is actually written in the agreement.I suggest you to contact a employment attonery in this regard.For only taking suggestion the fees are very less and if required you can take phone consultation.
