Default F1 visas

Dear friends,

One of my freind yesturday had gone to chennai consulate for f1 visa but she got rejected saying insufficient funds even though she had more then enough
funds to cover her M.S in USA. she is very deppressed on what to do next. what is the chance of her getting a visa in second attempt. please post your experiences this will be very usefull..

Hi Tulasi,
As you know, rejections like this are very common. Infact one my college mates did not get a visa for the same reason...back in 2002..mind you..he had full funding from an in ivy league...he applied the second time and got rejected...so he postponed the admit for a year...and manged to get visa the next year..Ask her to go for visa again...it all depends on all luck...or else she can wait for a few months and then try again...

Hi Lakshmi,

Thank you for your response . some positive words really helped for her on that day and she went back again this friday and she got the visa. she was very very happy.
