L2 Visa - Need to Work From Home

Iam Computer Science Graduate and Iam in USA with my husband on L2 Visa, can someone advice how Iam eligible to work in USA I want to work from home. Do I require to get work Permit?

As far as I know, if your husband is on L2 visa, then you should be able to apply for a EAD i.e. a work permit. Check with an immigration lawyer about how to go about it.

my dh is on L1 visa and i am on L2 visa . i have applied for EAD and i am eligible to work.so u can also apply for EAD.

Im also on L2 and am eligible to work...but what annoys me at the moment is the processing dates for EAD with California service center...the website mentions it as Processing for 01,April,2008 as on Aug 15,2008 but the july 15,2008 update said processing 16,April,2008...are they processing in reverse order? Has anybody applied recently and have any updates on the processing times? I applied 2 months back and except for my receipt havent really heard from them...

Also for the benefit of other L2 visa holders, you are eligible for ur SSN and dont really have to wait for your EAD...this mite help juz in case u wish to get ur drivers licence or open a bank account...
