How long will it take to get PIO card? We are planning a trip in April, so just want to know. Also they say for minor we need to keep the thumb impression on the form instead of signature. Can we do this in the Indian consulate itself or .........???
I have one more question: Is it a good Idea to get a visa or PIO card? Which one is earlier(if both done in person), coz v r planning a trip in early april.
Thanks in advance.
This is a late reply, Sorry abt that.. I have heard about a friend of mine who coudnt fly to US coz he stayed in India for more than 6 months. He got to know about this only at airport (in India) during the immigration check just before boarding his flight to US. He had to cancel the trip and had to get a verification done at SP's office. Once this was through, he could fly to US.
One of my friends daughter was also stayed there in India for a long time and she came back here now. But i have heard recently that they didnt apply for PIO card for her!!!! If possible i will enquire and tell u..
