    Can anybody tell how many months it takes for visa extension in usa. My spouse has applied in May 20.2015( his visa expired on June 4th ,) and his employer has got a mail dat Us govt has received the request. Til today there is no update regarding it. And the process was thru premium which was on hold for 2 months..til July 26, later the employer has asked to update his details and said dat his premium req was rejected. and the process is now to be thru normal. Now i wud like to know how long it wil take? And until he gets a valid visa he cant apply for me n kid in India? Plz clarify my doubts

    OP, Your hubby needs to call USCIS and inquire. Also press thru employer. Even otherwise these things take some time. Premium is ruled out as its been more than 2 months. Your hubby can contact his local senator and ask to speed up the process.Unless there are any problems in application he shud be able to get the approval in 2 months max.Good Luck.
