re-entry permit in usa for extended stay in India

    WE are planning to return to India for whole lot of problems here.
    We have GC and want to try our luck in India. If we stay in India for year or two and in case we need to come back, we wanted to know the basis of re-entry permit in U.S.A.

    Staying for more than 6 months outside USA will get difficult if you want to maintain ur GC status. Refer this article from immihelp.

    It would be a lot better if you move after getting your citizenship on POI OR maintain a home in USA and shuttle back and forth as and when needed.
