Default PIO card OR Visa - which is better?

Hi

Which is better..applying for PIO card or getting Visa for baby born in USA.

Can anyone explain the differece between having a PIO or Visa ? We are expecting our little one in the month of July....i though we require both ?!!

PIO card is valid for 15 years.. ur baby can visit india any number of times, without a visa, during those 15 years.and he/she can stay 6months in india during each visit.if u want to stay more than 6 months, then u hav to get a police clearence in india for the baby. then the baby can stay as long as u wish, even for years, at the same time without losing US citizenship.
