 Visa for parents visiting US Hi, I am planning to get my Father visit me in the US. I heard tourist visa issual has also become very strict these days  Just a couple of questions on applying for tourist visa... Is drop box facility available to apply in India? What is minimum balance in bank account required to be shown for being able to support the stay of the visitor? Awaiting responses...      |

| Drop box facility is withdrawn Nila, Drop box facility has been withdrawn from the US consulate in Chennai. I am not sure about Delhi. I don't think so the consulate is particular about the amount in bank balance. All they might be checking is whether you have a decent money maintained consistently in your bank for supporting visitors. Hope this helps! |

 Can I claim Tax return for the visit of parents? Hi, My parents got a 10-year visa and they are going to visit me by end of this month, to be of help during my delivery. Can my husband include them as dependants and claim US Tax return for their stay with us? Have anyone of you done this? Please share your experiences. |
