Question How long will it take to get PIO card?

Hi all

How long will it take to get PIO card? We are planning a trip in April, so just want to know. Also they say for minor we need to keep the thumb impression on the form instead of signature. Can we do this in the Indian consulate itself or .........???

Thanks in Advance.

Hi,

Normally it takes 3 weeks to arrive if you post the docs by mail. I am not sure how the process works if you personally go to the consulate.

For thumbprint you can buy a stamppad from Staples/Officemax. Make sure you get the correct thumb print.. It differs for girls and boys.

Hope this helps..
