Hi sunitha,

check out this site

Visitor Health Insurance, Pre-existing condition coverage, AIG

one of my cousin took the insurance with them for her in-laws and told that it is good.
but they dont cover any pre-existing conditions.

i think you can have this for your mom as she dont have any pre-existing conditions.
and you can call them if you need any clarifications.

Hope this helps

Hi Sunitha,

I bought the visitor's insurance from IMG. The coverage was under Patriot America. I bought the comprehensive coverage (of course no pre-existing conditions was covered) but I was happy with what I got.

You can look into this one also.

love,
Aarushi

Hi
It is better to take the insurance in the US as the claims if any can be settled easily there. In India to get claims settled whether overseas or within the country itself is a marathon task. You need a lot of patience and ingenuity to get anything done here. Generally the mediclaim insurance in India try how not to pay you.

I guess the best rates that I've some across are at Travel Insurance - InsureMyTrip.com and Travel Insurance - InsureMyVisa.com (for visas mainly) - you can compare different agencies and plans and rates and these have toll-free tel nos here for all queries...check it out,

Hope this helps, lemme know

Hi Subha,
My friend's parents visited her to help her during delivery. She told me that AIG is good (pre-existing conditions not covered). You could PM our ILites of this thread to get their personal experience. Take care!

best,
