Question Watery/Milky discharge from breasts during 27w?

Hey Ladies,

Am going to enter into my 28w and any idea of watery or milky discharge from breasts is normal at this point?

Discharge is not regular or more and all. Just need some info about that.

Please clarify.

Colostrum: the first milk that's rich in immune building bodies gets produced in the body from around the 24th week. You probably will be a leaker, as in your breasts may leak milk when you breastfeed your child. Some people leak colostrum and bm, people like me do not. Make nursing pads a part of your purchase with the nursing bra

Hi Tikka,

I dont have discharge yet. I just enquired for an information. I used to do breast massaging and when I pressed my breasts more hard I felt a very very mild discharge(just a drop or not even that) so I immediatedly opended this thread to gather info on that.

Deepali - You are >30 w na? Is discharge more for you? I think am in 27w+ and seeing just a drop not sure in 30w. MAy be I need to stop pressing breasts hard.

Anitha - I think doing breast massaging is good.Thats what my mom says.
And usually we might get discharge from our 8th month. For few females they get only after delivery.
As I am in my 8th month now may be it started.
For me too its not too much.Just a drop or so and when I press a bit more discharge.

Breast massages are becoming very questionable now a days, especially now that you are entering the third tri, gentle massages may be more in order. I was told not to bother about it at all, but looks like advice differs a lot on this. Take care.

Deepali - Really? None told me its good/bad but I started this during my pregnancy. But all of sudden when I noticed a drop I had a doubt and opened this thread.

Let me see if discharge happens again for me. I will let you know. Are you using any pads?

I told DH and he is teasing me very badly which I couldnt even tell out here.

Lets see if any ladies reply this thread.
