Glucose Test - I failed by 5 points - Urgent Info Required !!!

All the best and hope this test u pass. i too failed my glucose test today and nurse asked me to do it again within this week. i am taking appointment for Thursday. i am too very scared what i have developed GD. i really have sweet tooth badly and now i am gonna control this

Dont worry. You failed by how many points? Normal is 135 and I had 140.
Sweets are not the main reason seems. Avoid more rice/potatoes. Iam trying to do this but not sure it will work out like.

Today i had O sullivan test , not passed. My count is 158. is it too high? They told to come for glucose tolerance test next week. What diet i have to follow to control glucose until next week. Is cracked wheat, chapati is good to eat instead of rice, any one plz suggest me...............

oops, it was not next week. they told to come after 10 days, i.e on nov 16th. So plz suggest me the diet to follow ..........

What is that O sullivan test?? I have not heard at all..
Did you fail in glucose test1?? If yes, then you will be asked to go for 3 hr test which you pass.. dont worry

diet is limit rice intake.. naything with more carbo... avoid sweets...

yes it is a 1hr glucose test. I was asked to go for 3 hr glucose test after 10 days. so if i cut down rice and take chapatis for the dinner (taking rice in the afternoon) is enough to control glucose (getting -ve) for the test.

I failed mine.Got the results today.I got 139 and normal is 135. I dont even feel like going for the 3 hour torture but my doc thinks I should.

Any tips welcome,

Hi Sabiha,
You didnt fail by a huge margin...4 points is nothing. You will def pass 3 gr test. So dont worry and good luck.
