Anitha,
Any reason ur gynec asked you to take only one shot?? Since my gynec asked me to take two shots. I took one last friday and i hve another one after 4 weeks. Is there any reason i should avoid the second shot as my gynec was telling me two shots are required to develop the anti bodies.

Anitha meant, I think, to take the shot that comes as one shot/1 vial. Not the ones with multiple shots, as the latter have adjuvants (mercury containing).

My OB/GYN said that I should absolutely take it as I travel in subway and with students in close quarters. They pick up things easier when they sit in classes, next to each other. It is available for pg women starting next Monday for me. I suppose I'll cave in and take it. DH wants to take it too, when it is available for general public.

I am still confused regarding y my gynec asked me to take two shots. I have an appointment with her next Friday then i shall def ask her.
Btw my DH also got an early appointment for the vaccine even before general public since I am pregnant. I guess u all also can try to get an earlier appointment for this vaccine for ur DH.
Even i travel in subway and we live in student dorms...so it was sort of necessary for me too.

I took the unadjuvanted one last Monday. My arm hurt for a day, then started hurting again on Sunday and had body aches yesterday. They're gone now. I suppose those were the side effects.
