Smile Down syndrome

Hi

My cousin (33yrs) is pregnant and she is in Mumbai...its her 2 nd pregnancy , now she is in her 15 or 16 th week...

two weeks before she went for 1st trimester down syndrome test...today doctor said seeing blood result its high risk...and seeing ultra scan + blood work, she said its low risk...

she is coming to US after 3 days...she will take all the tests again in US...so i am hoping everything should be fine for her..

so my question here is please tell me what is this ..how bad is this..

please help what should she do now...

hi skavi!

not a problem... actually in US i think they will do all these amnio and all if the mother is in 30's .... anyway... i went to amnio last month though am not in 30 coz they did the nuchal translucent ultrasound and the bloodwork and calculated the risk ratio and suggested me to take amnio.. everything went fine and the results are normal.
bye
