Fibroid found....please help

Hi Everyone!

I need your advice desperately.

Actually in my first sonography a large fibroid is been discovered (9.9 cm) and my gyn suggested an abortion. My whole family got very upset with this news but then we decided for a second opinion.

The second doctor has asked to do another sonography to find out the exact origin, position and growth of the fibroid. Yesterday I went for the 2nd sonography and found the fibroid to be of 12 cm but the growth of the baby is absolutely normal. Today I will go to the second doctor to show her the reports and she will then give her suggestion.

Girls I am really scared with this news! And the way the fibroid is growing is scaring me more.

I have heard about fibroid with many cases but this one is really large.

Do you guys have ever come across any such case...if yes then please write to me.....I really need your help and support.

sorry to say to follow the instruction of doctor , but if he said that is true. as i want to tell u one thing which my dr told me as i suffered with fibroid . my doctor told me in a small house u have lots of furniture so u didn't get place to enter and stay there .....if u want to stay in that small place u want to move that furniture first and then u able to come and stay in that place freely .
i think u get my point and take decision with brain and i am sure that the family members also support u .

don't worry everything will be fine but now u listen your doctor first.

During my first trimister around 11 weeks and later they found a fibroid when they did ultrasound. But my nurse and doctor said these fibroids come and go during pregnancy and they will monitor it. They said it is due to less progesterone or something. Also, I had to be on progesterone for few weeks as I had low levels.

Now I am in third trimester.

Talk to your doctor and take a second opinion.

Thank you for sharing your experience.

I met the second doctor and she says exactly what you have mentioned. She advised me to continue the pregnancy and that she will constantly monitor me.

My concern now is the size of the fibroid and also the warnings of the first doctor....I was just imaging how the opinion of the 2 doctors could be so different.

But for now...I am just being optimistic and trying to forget that I even have something called Fibroid.
