How to tell water broken?

Hi friends....

I have been leaking clear fluid since I got pregnant and my doctor says its normal. Some women do and some don't. I always wear panty liner. I am 36 weeks now, how would I know if I am leaking regular fluid or if my water is broken. I am afraid of any kind of infection after the water broken. So, please help me to figure out how to tell the difference between these two. Thank you.

For my daughter, my water broke and first it was a gush then a slow trickle. Also it was quite murky and had a sweet smell to it. Don't worry you will know when your water breaks, it is pretty obvious. Also the leaking you have mentioned that is quite normal too. Right now I'm 38 weeks pregnant, and I have seen a increase in discharge. Relax and don't worry you'll know when it happens

When the water breaks it just gushes out. You will have no control over its flow and neither can you stop it, like how we can hold our urine. But here its not in our control. Also it could be associated with some kinda smell for its distinction. At times you might experience a bloody show along with the water breakage, thats coz of the muscous plug etc...

And dont worry the baby sends signals and ur body will know for sure what u are undergoing. Trust ur instincts.
