hi shilpa,
congratulations on your pregnancy...it is common to chk for progesterone levels at this stage...when i was pregnant, i was travelling abroad, so my gyny in india prescribed progesterone supplement for me even without checking the levels..i took them until 12 weeks...she told me that progesterone is important to keep the baby stable and some women might not produce enough of it naturally...my mom told me that some of my aunts had also taken progesterone supplements..so no need to worry!

all the best!

Hi..

Though my doctor did not order for any blood test for progesterone, she suspects I may be low in that. So now I am taking progesterone supplements 200 mg per day. So nothing to worry i guess.

Radhee.
