Question eclipse and pregnancy

Dear friends,
Do you think solar or lunar eclipse affect the pregnant lady.Is there any scientific reason to justify it?.As one of my friend is pregnant and unknowingly she was exposed to sun on 3 oct and moon on 17 oct now when she has come to know so many things about ill effect of grahan she is very frightened.please can you all suggest what she should do now?

Default She & the baby will be fine

Kushi,

Tell yr friend not to have any anxieities. She & the baby will be fine.

I once did an anthropological study on beliefs among women and this was one of the main themes explored (and then negated).

In Mexico, it was believed that exposing the pregnant lady to an eclipse caused cleft-lip. That myth has been scientifically disproved in Mexico. You can find those evidences over the net.

I am also quoting from another article, can send you the link if u wish.

'There are many old wives' tales, which attribute birth defects to various causes. Birth defects are NOT caused by eclipses, sewing during pregnancy, riding in autorickshaws, sleeping in any particular position or eating some foods'.

I was born during an eclipse on Pournami (full moon night), I am fine.

Tell yr friend not to worry.

Cheers
V

Default Eclipse???

I have a question.

People say that pregnant women should take care during eclipse and should not come out during that time.

As i am in US, i dont know when it comes even though i watch news daily but i dont think they will say abt this.

How and where to find out abt the eclipse and when its occuring?

If anyone knows about the do's and dont's at that time Pls respond as soon as possible.

Thanks
San
