| Dear Chithra Ma'am, Wow!!! That was an awesome & pleasant surprise you gave us with the get together of IL stalwarts & their respective spouses!! It was great to see the faces behind IL's writers par excellence!! Thanks a ton for posting the pics & as usual your dinner menu sent me drooling. I'm sure you all had a rocking time. Cheers! Ragini.

| First of all, is this thread titled right? Shouldn't it read "Meeting of Three Great ILites in Chennai"? Do I click the edit button to change the title??? Varalotti, That was a great write-up in your own style about the great meet. You made us all feel part of the meeting. Thank you. Chitvish, Thank you for those wonderful pictures. All of you look awesome and how much you all enjoyed this meeting shows up as a glow in all your faces. Needless to mention about the superb spreads you make for ILites meeting and this one being a special meeting, I can imagine how excellent the spread would have been. I regret that I was not in Chennai, atleast I could have got some left overs as to gos home. Cheeniya Sir, Are you 60+? Niether your writings nor your picture make us believe it. You are unbelievably young at heart, I guess. BTW, Mrs. Indira looks great (she is full of lakshanam). It his her looks that adds to your youthfulness. Thank you for your writings about this wonderful meeting in your own style. I enjoyed the wit and humour you have added to it, these lines especially... Quote:

| Cheeniyasri ! At last we get to see the face behind the owl mask ! Well, the Object does not look quite like the (mental) Image I had ! Given the jollity and zing you pack into your effervescent posts, I'd imagined a younger look - closer to, say, 50. But you look as 64 as my dear Grandpa at 68. And but for the tireless reminders of your grey beard in your posts, I'd've given Cheeniya a clean shaven look too, to complete the resemblance to a two-toned illustration on the cover of my old copy of "Blandings Castle". I dont know if all those schmaltzy "dear brother" exchanges you've been having of late influence me, but seeing you and Varalotti together, I feel you look like blood brothers. There's that "of a family" look. And the names, Srinivasan and Sridharan jell well too ! So nice, "Cheeniya" dint turn out to be a Chinnaswami or a Chidambaram to spoil the music of the Tweedledum-Tweedledee duet ! BTW, Cheeniyasri, did your daughter learn Bharatanatyam too , as per the TamBram traditions of Chennai ? Would love to read your take on the mid-afternoon dance slots and the NRI prowlers during the december Season. rgds manjula

| Dear Sridhar, Good taht you got to meet the others.....so we got to see you 3 in picture!Indhu is looking great! Dear Chitra, You have lost sooooo much of weight......i liked the chubby Chitra, i met last year! STOP dieting, and let us carry on! You are glowing and all happy.....it feels good to meet friends always! Dear Cheeniya( mama!) I feel i have to address you like this only....after all tamizh panpaadu....and mami is looking great and familiar too! It must have been great for you all to get together.....seeing virtual friends in real is always like that! I can imagine you leaving your footwear in the kitchen....true Sridhar and Indu leave that impact on anyone! And knowing Chitra's house layout , i can imagine how that could have happened! But i am happy to see more and more ILites meeting and it feels good when you share here.....it makes us feel like a family! Though it tends to make one feel homesick and miss being a part of it!:icon_frown:

| Dear chitra,Cheeniya sir & VS sir It was agreat pleasure to see you all to gether. Chitra is the perfect hostess.. perfection personified, extremely versatile. These days when people opt to entertain their guests with store bought snacks etc she's one person who tireless cooks a variety and serves with love. Hats off to you Chitra!! Cheeniya Sir I agree with VS that your avatar is misleading.. I had imagined you to look like " Calcutta vishwanathan " smoking a pipe ! (Just a joke.. pardon me for saying so!) Your wife looks so calm & composed. VS Finally I got to see the star, master brain behind the rocking, sensational "SHE". Regards Sowmya |

| Are we seeing the top 3 winners of the "Made for each other" contest? It was great reading about the meet, the feast is royal as usual, all of you are glowing in each other's company. Dear ChitVish, you are inspiring us even more to try your raw foods at the rate you are losing weight. You seem to have lost even more weight in the past 3-4 months. Your saree is a killer as usual. "V" is a perfect match ! You both look royal and dignified as a couple. Cheeniya Sir, a cigar in your mouth and a 60's glasses would make you the "Art Buchwald" of IL. Mrs. Indra looks like a perfect "Periamma". VR and Indu, we have seen you earlier in individual photos, this is the first time we are seeing you together. You both look great together. | My Dear Friend Kamla, thanks. Yes I checked only today. I have lost 5 kgs. But I have not lost it in the place where I wanted to. But at my age any loss is a gain. But dont praise me too much. I may swell back to my original size in sheer happiness. love, |
