IL Family meet in Dubai

Dearest Ladies,

Yesterday's Reef Mall Meet was a Super Duper Blast!!!

Attendees : Babita, Preethi, Priya, Sonia, Reenu, Anita, Aaisha, Sylvia and ofcourse the Kids..

We met around 5pm in the play area and the kids were head over heels with the variety of entertainment available there.. they chose play stuff according to their age and size and the big kids took care of the smaller ones.. The mom's could actually sit down and talk without running behind the little ones.. except for Aaisha, Priya and Babita who have really small kiddos..

We wound up from the play area around 7:30pm and headed to the food court.. Pramod (Anita's husband), Preetham (Preethi's husband), Rajan (Reenu's husband) and Sachin (Babita's husband) joined us there.. It was about 9:30pm when we reached back home.. You can imagine that the meeting went on very well..

We have already started plans for our next meet but since it's vacation time and most families are travelling, it will be a smaller gathering..

Preethi will be posting photos of the meet soon.. I hope more IL women get inspired by this message and join us next time.. All are Welcome!

Glad you liked the pics…. But unfortunately I forgot to take even one pic of the dedicated hubbies & of all the kids together… my deepest apologies….

On the other front, things are ok…. But not sure if the vacation is going good…. No more me-time! On the 19^th evening, Akansha tells me that she is bored… I was like “YOUR VACATION JUST STARTED!!!!”

I’m waiting to go to India, but not sure about how good it’s going to turn out… you know how difficult it is to handle them when grandparents, uncle-aunts, nieces-nephews are around…. The more you try to disciple them, the more they have tactics to escape… talk about innovative thinking…. Every act will have a reason, & every reason will have an undisputed win… Man! I was telling Pramod that I’ll have to get a device attached to my wrist to check my BP all thru’ the day… beeping every time it goes high…. He told that won’t work, as the beeping noise will irritate everyone all day long. There is no way to vent the frustration keep cool is easy to write & say than do!

The worst thing for me to handle even now is her attitude outburst… like I had told you & you must have witnessed in Reef mall…. The more people are there to listen to her or observe her, the more she put her haughty she becomes…. & when she does that I just get so mad, I scare myself! Any tips on how to get her to sober up? When I ask my mom for any tips on behavior management… her answer is always the same… “When the 2^nd one arrives, she’ll sober down!”

It’s good that you’ve sent Aneesh to Summer camp…. I strongly recommend it!
