Come on now, i don't believe in photos which you have recd thru satellite....
And i give more weight to the WORDS of a Veteran like Mrs. Pankaja! so...anyway i am assured of the Madurai, lunches etc...but no news from the Chennai periyavaal, she still seems to be with you... anyway thanks to u , i will be starving there.
Well lets see what i can think of "Truthfully "and get Chitra on my side( Kamala, you were smart, got yourself anchored safely!)
And Sridhar if you rename this site INDUSLIES , thenthink about all our comments to you....well it is all going to be topsy turvy...and the not so 'Goody-Goody ones' will be actually the ones you have to reckon with!
So better be careful, ......and i choose to ignore the phrase 'OLD AUNTIE', i know it does not apply to me!

I did see the satellite pictures, ofcourse, courtesy, my friend ! I am mailing to Indhu some recipes suitable for " elderly aunties". She is so thankful to me that atleast I did'nt believe the white lie - a true Bharathiya Nari, really !
I love to entertain my age group also - so please drop in for a lunch or dinner !
" Goody - goody" has changed to " absolutely good", courtesy, my dear friend's " threadbare arguement" which has put sane thinking in me ! How can I ever disagree with a sensible presentation of facts ? He is, as usual & as nobody else can be, always right !

Sudha, Vidya looks lovely in the photos - I cannot stop admiring her !

When we, the proud I Lites met in Bangalore on the 25^th,we were all immersed in that love that reaches deep into hearts, we shared a warm camaraderie, we laughed, rollicked and seriously re-established our bond with IL Site, by thanking the ‘loving hearts’ behind the fabulous site.
Coming to the (by now famous) comment by Pankaja, that Indhu, ie Mrs. Varalotti can be taken for his daughter, I too agree, but for different reasons…just like a woman is supposed to behave like a mother sometimes, like a friend sometimes, like an advisor sometimes with her husband, a man, when he doles out love, protects, pampers and gives total attention to his wife, he is donning the roles of a father, care giver, advisor and a faithful lover….yes, we all could see that in our Varalotti.. and Indhu appeared a proud wife, a contented wife and a happy wife….and a very very sweet and loving mother, of an adorable daughter- Preethi. All our hearts blessed the family with many years of togetherness, bound by love and happiness.
Since Varalotti already explained about some logistics as a thorough Accountant, I won’t broach on that boring topic of paying and sharing the bill. Anyways, hence forth, its going to be in our ‘homes’, where the bills are to be paid in promises of love and friendship..
Yes, coming back to the main topic- Preethi and Sudha’s daughter Varsha added ‘colour and warmth’ with their sparkling smiles and reticent behaviour. They allowed the ‘oldies’ to have a field day…I thank the sweet girls for their thoughtfulness.
The best thing about our meetings is that , we rise above gender- we believe and behave like ‘friends’- it is never a single man meeting a bevy of women or vice versa, it is a meeting of people in love with one another..who respect one another, who wish the best for one another..!! All that I can say is…long live IL Forum, for cementing a deep friendship between us.
Sridhar, did not mention about his visit to my house a day after our meeting- a lapse on his part, which I am making up. Indhu, Preethi and our Indus Lad appeared relaxed and rejuvenated when they came home- a holiday always does that to people. My husband Ananth too met the ‘popular male writer’ of IL and was impressed by him and his likeable family. He said, ‘Indhu and Sridhar are made for each other couple’ ( proving Pankaja’s comment 100% wrong …with due apologies to the grand lady ).
So, that’s about it ladies…
Sunkan, we missed you badly...wish to meet you soon..

I did not talk of the satellite pictures of vidhya...i was referring to the ones Sridhar says he has got thru satellite of me and ur Maduraiite VJ!

Well as for me i love also the company of Esteemed Presence....with sapaddau or not!( Anyway on a life long diet so.... , have to maintain the Image you know! )Thanks for sharing recipes with Indu, hope they are some healthy salads and low calorie ones only! And you have contradicted what Sridhar has said..Indhu seems to be on Cloud 9 or 99 or 999, so ........

And Vidhya are you posting ur pic here or not...if not send one to me also thru email yaar! Am staying logged here waiting to catch a glimpse of the "beautiful" You, which Chtra has been raving about! Come on ...quick...

First Varalotti- your write up was very detailed and I enjoyed it. And when Madam Pankaja said Indu is like Preeti's sister, it seems that you turned green with envy. You have tried to brush it aside as a comment of courtesy. You will have to accept it, even Chitvish and others who have met Indu had said the same.
Then Vidya and Chitvish, it seems that a loving fight is going on, very nice. Vidya pl post your picture in our site itself so that we can all 'meet' you. I am also very eager to meet you. Afterall we have all become friends online and the photo is only a physical recognition of the beautiful mind. Post the photo soon.
Ambika's write up was also very nice, she reminded about Varalotti's visit to her house. Hope to get a chance the next time at Bangalore.

That was in my heart and it found its expression through your beautiful words.
Thanks for pointing out my 'lapse.' But honestly it is not a lapse. If you see the heading of this thread "ILites Meeting at Bangalore On 25th May,2006", I could not accommodate the meeting we had in your home in this thread.
But propriety apart, that was really a sweet meeting. When we walked out of my cousin's house on 27th May and I called you over phone to ask your address, we were surprised to find that we were virtually in the very next street.
So we just barged in. I have heard of the expression feeling "at home" I could think of no better words to describe our short stay at your house.
I also remember Preethi singing "Kurai Onrum Illai" and your joining with her for the most part of the song. Though Tamil is not your mother tongue you sang as it were so. And your voice jelled so well with Preethi that Indhu and I were just frozen in time listening to the rendition.
Another thing cherised by Indhu is the beautiful saree you gave her. She is moved by the warmth of the gift and admires your taste. That saree has taken its pride of place in her wardrobe.
It was only after meeting Ananth could I understand the perennial happiness in you, Ambika. A nice soft-spoken, mild-mannered man, whom you pulled out of his official meeting to spend some time with us.
But what touched me the most in your post is your ultimate defence of your friend. Especially at a time when Pankaja's white lie is assuming proportions of gospel truth, you, with your rationale and logical arguments shattered it to smithereens.
Sudha and Kamla, where are you people hiding your faces?

I'm feeling diabetic after reading Varalotti's and Ambika's responses! Of course the luncheon party was good - why wouldn't it be with me around?! Pankaja spiced it up and invited brickbats; Indhu was a good listener - but careful observers tend to unnerve me; Preethi and Varsha were quietly laughing at us; Sudha was intense; Varalotti was relaxed and in an indulgent mood; Ambika was herself - i.e she comes across as a serious person and her sudden throaty laughter takes one unawares. A good crowd. Not just I and V - I think we all are made for each other and our faults and virtues complement each other. With a few exceptions - cos I'm flawless!

Hello Sridhar, The write up was interesting full of facts about the important day (25th May) of Ilites meeting - but then the replies that followed was even more interesting. I missed you all. There’s always a next time and I’m sure the next time there would be a crowd. I liked the sentence; 'Indusladies' was itself a thread, which held all of us together in sheer love. Very true!!! So, when are you planning to post the photographs? Would like to see your beautiful wife & pretty Preethi. Just reading this thread felt like I had a get-together just now. Such a wonderful crowd. Would love meet all of you.
