| Hello Everyone, Sorry about the late reply! I was swamped with work back home and poor hubby is down with viral fever. He says, he put in too much aural energy into welcoming me at the airport My meeting with dear ChitVish and Sudha was very very memorable. I am just amazed at how enthusiastic both of them were to meet with me, they made me feel like a VIP though they were the ones according to us. ChitVish came all the way beating the traffic in Chennai to meet with me at my brother's reception and Sudha beat the severe thunderstorms and rain on a Saturday morning to meet me at the busy airport, though her daughter comes on weekends to spend time with her. Also, though we have interacted on IL and over a few emails and a couple of phone calls, this was the first time we were meeting each other. Despite that, Sudha brought me idlies with molagai podi for breakfast. Her thoughtful gesture just bowled me over. Thanks again Sudha! She guessed right that I must have been craving for home food. She was right, I was literally grazing over salads and soup and pasta for the past 3 weeks, and was craving for homemade food. I was avoiding visiting "Ask ChitVish" forum while in Germany because it would make my stomach growwwwwwwwllllllll! Sorry ChitVish! Our conversation as usual revolved around IL, ChitVish, Varalotti, Cheeniya's forums. We did not feel as if we were strangers at all. We felt as if we knew each other for years, our topics ranged from SriRangam Ranganathar koil, Malleswaram MES School, Germany, USA, cooking, education in Germany, IT boom in India and the list goes on. All this would not have been possible if not for our Malathy and our dear ChitVish. Thanks to all of you for building such a wonderful community all across the globe. I now feel that whichever part of the globe I travel, I will have some ILite that I can count on! Sudha has already posted the pic we took at the Frankfurt airport. Thanks Sudha! | Hey Vidhya, Got to see you at last:) You are just as lovely as your words:) Sad that I could not arrange a meet here all this time. I am confirmed to do so in the coming weeks and hope you will make it for that. We'll soon talk about that:) Thanks to our wonderful Chithra and effervescent Sudha, we got to see your pics and them too in the bargain. Each one is shining with their own glory and have such wholesome and friendly smiles. Thanks to Chithra and Sudha for the lovely pics. L, Kamla |

| I'd like to add a few more thoughts if I haven't bored you all already. During those long trans-Atlantic flights I always gaze out of the little plane window and grasp how huge the world is. It always makes you feel a little amazed about how far you have travelled away from home to make a new life. The wonder is undiminished even now, but after discovering IL I am now filled with a new wonder. No matter how large this world, I have my IL family everywhere - you are never too far from family! In their own way Malathy, Chitvish et al have brought the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbam ("Earth as a family" in Sanskrit) to life. -Vidya |

| Dear Vmur, Imagine the scenario. Some Tamil girl settled in US visiting Germany on her way to be met by someone she has not till then and eating idli and milakai podi in Frankfurt airport, and discussing Renganathar and Malleswaram! Actually vmur I was disappointed on seeing your picture. Seeing your writings the maturity of their content and your style, I thought you will be at least a grandmother twice over. But it was a pleasant disappointment to find you quite young in looks. That was a really good post, vmur. I am grateful to know that varalotti also figured in the discussions, two really international ladies held in an international airport. regards,

| That was an interesting meet...! Vidya looks very pretty and we now know the sweet lady behind the budding rose( Sudha ). Meena Prakash - like her posts looks very dashing. Preethi - looks bubbly. We have seen Laxmi before, but this is a real first closer up version of her. Mohana looks cute. Mrs. C, your saree in the picture with Mohana is very nice.. -Gayathri. |

| Dear Chitra, This forum was real surprise for me...In fact, only today I saw the photos of you and all other ILites (including mine). It was so sweet of you to attach all those snaps. I felt so nice seeing all other ILites - Sudha, vmur, meenaprakash, indusri and my namesake Preethi, Induslady and her cute little angel.. In fact, I had a pang of guilt , after seeing your snap with me. I should have posted that myself long back after my meeting with you. But due to my sudden and continued pressure in office after returning to doha, I couldn't even log into IL regularly, hence couldn't devote time to upload that photo. Am really sorry about that Chitra... Friends, its better late than never. Let me share the morning I spent with Chitra, it was such a memorable meeting. I met Chitra along with my mom and surprisingly she too had a wonderful time with her. Even after coming here, once in a while over phone/email she enquiries to me about her. Chitra served us with all her love, sago vadai and a sweet (sorry chitra, forgot its name) and we chatted, chatted, and chatted..most of our chat was about IL only..I could not spend more than an hour with her during my chennai trip, but whatever time I spent with her, I thoroughly enjoyed myself , next time, I really wish I could spend more time with her in chennai. But, I had the pleasure of chatting with her over phone for couple of times. I read one of the ILite writing, that those who goto Chennai (abroad vaasi's) should meet chitra once, I completely agree with that IL friend and reiterate, if opportunity permits, meet her as often as you can. I am sure no one would refuse the companionship of such a wonderful lady like Chitra... All chennai vaasi's , needless to say, you all have the advantage of meeting her anytime you like. I hope I get to interact with more IL's in the future too and get to know them closely as I got to know chitra.... Love, Preethi |

| Hi Sudha! Thank you for having started this thread and giving us all a pleasant surprise! So many ILites we could get to see. It made us feel as though we met them for real. That was the joy we got. A special thanks to Chithra for having posted all the photographs. I envy you all and am waiting for a chance to meet all of you! Till then let us continue our friendship through our posts!
