Get together of IL ites in Chennai

Great to know about the get-together...and what a tasty spread!WOW! You people have really done it!

Got to see all of you on Mrs.CV's favourite swing(oonjal) which hangs in the centre of her living room..I can still clearly remember Chithra Madam sitting on that and swinging away about a yr back..

Dear friends,
I had said that I shall pick up Laxmi. I was in the bus stop at Mogappair, looking for a salwar clad, long haired girl (that was how she was last year). Suddenly, I saw a very smart and savvy girl walk up to me in pista green tops and pants with burgandy highlighted hair. Wow, who could be this? Yes, it is our own Laxmi! what a nice change and I was bowled over.
I hope she did not have any body pain after travelling to and from in the scooty. The journey back was very very terrific-with traffic congestion at almost all the places. I was releaved when I dropped at Mogappair in one piece. You must experience to believe me, what traffic.
When we reached, almost all the othrs were there. Bhugan had taken up helping Chithra, she was shimmering in a beautiful saree. Kanaka Raghavan was looking very nice in the black saree and co ordinated yellow blouse. Kavitha, Akila and Sowmya were very warm and I felt as if I know them all well. No need to say, Hasita was very nice and she would have felt out of place most of the time. We tried to talk in English, but you know how it goes back to Tamil. But she was eager to learn Tamil and this was a start at that.
Then Meenu and Chithru joined us. Meenu is about to take up employment next week, her dream of a life time. I wish her all the best in her new venture.
From the start, it was go. No body felt any uneasy feeling, we all felt as if we know each other for a long time. It was nice knowing the experiences of the young members.
About the wonderful spread, I need not say more. It was excellent. Chithra also paked us some sweets for those we left behind. Aravindh was eager to know what all I ate and I gave him the packet in answer and he was very happy that Chitvish had remembered him. (He was not happy about being left out).
It was a very beautiful experience meeting more of our ILiites in person. I hve a request- those of you who are coming over to Chennai, please try to include the meet in your programme. We Chennaiites would meet you, what do you all say?
And, I think those who are trying to lose weight should ask Chitvish about how to, she is so trim and slim now. Of course, there are so many things we have to learn from her. Top one is how to be so organised. She was very happy to get all those wonderful foodies ready for us and entertain us.
Now, looking forward to the next meet.

You all really had a wonderful time and mouth watering dishes at the get together. Chithra madam's hospitality is splendid! As I had programme from 9th to 15th I couldn't make it. Though I could not have done much justice to food items, I love to meet our online ilite friends. Hope that I will get the chance next time.

Chithra ma'am, wow!! just like you to be the perfect host & another delicious spread!!!! I wish i could be there too (if only wishes were horses!!) Plz do post the new recipes........will be waiting....... the pics were great with all you lovely ladies!

Hello Ladies,

Its great to know that all of you at the meet had lots of fun. The food spread looks yummy. It would be great to have another meet in Chennai where I could also join, hopefully if I am in India. Thanks to all the ladies for sharing their experience and pictures. Its lovely.
I see Varloo is from Ambattur. My inlaws also live in Ambattur .
