IL'ite meet in Chennai

hi all,

Wondering if ILites in Chennai could have a get together in the near future? I'd love to make some friends in Chennai.
Of course, if anyone from nearby Chennai (and far) are joining in, the more the merrier!

It's a month since I joined in, and initially reading so many posts from this city, thought that you guys must be meeting up very often! Is it so?

Ya, A Good Idea.We can even have a pot-luck lunch...each one bringing in a dish. Suggestions are welcome.

All of you ladies, gals, guys (?) who are eager to meet up, please write in here or PM me, so we know ~ how many people to expect.
But I am not sure where we could meet - I'd welcome all to my place, but might get a bit congested since I live in a 300 sq.ft. home :)
Any suggestions?

I was thinking it could probably be done on a Saturday so those who are working are able to attend. Does that work for you? If yes, then we can PM and fix the exact date.

Hi Chennai ladies,
Its a good idea. On the eve of New year, we Telcoites retired from Tata Motors and setlled in Chennai have a get together. The first time we had it at Woodlands, then twice we had at Ganesh and Rathna Bhavan in T.Nagar. Once we had it in our house for about 25 persons. At Hotel around 50 to 60 persons gathered. As Chitra madam says, if there are two many it will be difficult to know each other. But if more persons would like to participate, it will be better to have it in a hotel. I too can arrange to have it in my house if members are willing to travel to Pallikaranai. Our independant house is big enough even to accommodate 30 to 40 persons. But I feel that we have to wait till the heat subside to moderate level.

Dear All,
As Ms.Pushpavalli says we can wait for the heat to subside and have the meet .I wouldn't mind holding the meet at my house too. Can accomodate upto 20+ people.First we have to get the numbers ,then the time and place.
