I got to meet Chithra!!

Yayy!!! Im the next one in the queue of Ilites meeting with Chitra.

It was really soo lovely to meet her in person. I was so happy I could meet her even though it was for a very short time.

Chitra is such an amazing person, she agree to visit me in the hotel room.
Since I had only one day stay in Chennai(on my way back to US) I was wondering what I could do to meet her. She gladly agreed without any hesitation to come and meet me wherever I was.

She has just landed from Bangalore flight in the evening and came straight from the airport to see us in the hotel.

Me, my husband and Vishwa kutty got to meet her. We didnt feel any hesitation in talking, felt that we knew for ever. She brought me nice gifts too.

Though Vishwa was little cranky, we all had a very good time.
Mrs.CV is such an active person, I can see the energy in her with which she manages all her cooking, religion and so many other things here.

I wish we had more time. For sure next time I would go meet her in her house (have to taste her cooking.. drooling already!! )

I had a chance to talk to IndusLady also, though we couldnt meet. She sounded real friendly. Chitra also had real nice things to say abt Malathy.

Mrs.CV, thanks again for meeting with me & family. I really appreciate you coming down to see us. You are such a lovely person, I pray God to keep you with good health and same energy forever. What IL would do without u?

Malathy, I would like to talk to you again when u get back. Thanks to you for the wonderful IL community without which we wouldnt know each other and how on earth I would get to a know a Mylapore Mami .

I have the digital picture taken with Chithra, but havent unpacked most of my suitcases yet.. Will post the pic later.

Isn't it strange that we both talked like long-lost & well known friends, from the very word "go" ? Shankar made me feel so much at ease that I just "jabbered" perhaps, non-stop!
At my age & senior citizen status, It adds to my self-esteem that you are all so warm & friendly with me, though, all said & done, I am only a Mylapore Mami as you rightly said .
Do plan to spend a day with me, when you pass through Chennai next !

oh, Mrs.CV there is nothing wrong abt me saying Mylapore mami. You know urself that you are not just mami but hi-fi "enraiya nangai" ... It really was lovely to meet u.

Btw, its Naveen not Shankar(thats my family name). Glad u liked the gift. Actually I was searching for silicone bakeware set for you, but couldnt find it.. So ended up buying decor item.

Dear Abha,
I came to B'lore for a wedding. I am most unfamiliar with the city - I was picked up from the airport to the Kalyana Mandap & dropped back !
I have a niece ( I L ite as well) in B'lore & she has been inviting me for long to come there. If (!) & when I make it, I will P M you & we will meet ! Are not both of us regulars in Cheeniya's column ??!!
