Meet At Adyar!

Hi gals,
thank you all. Meenu, I thought you were busy with work, so did not call you over phone, thought you would have seen the invitation in the forum. Do tell me when it would be convenient for you. we could fix up some time as per the working ladies' timings too, what do you think?
We all felt that more people would have been fun. But still we all could interact personally this time. I would be happy to have a good crowd too.
Meena dear, we would have been very happy to have you and Ramya too, we too would have felt like college girls. And do drop the ma'am, we are not your teachers. Didn't you know that all in IL are in their 20's only? Don't make us oldies by calling us ma'am, right? So, when are we meeting next?

Dear most Varloo ma'am and lovely ILites,

The write-up briefed us about the meet that you had relished yesterday(01/19/200. Ah... with my project review on the very same day and an external certification exam today(01/21/200; I was really confused and almost decided I would give my exam next month. But alas, my attendance was made compulsory . My parents were the victims of my psychic behavior for the past three days. True. I was very upset that we (Meena and myself) could not make it up this time and moreover with the tight schedule I could not even type a word for my IL :( I had plans of making some of Chitvish madam's recipies myself and throw a surprise to all ILites those who took part, .

No more can I put up my sorry face, as the detailed and well furnished description by Varloo ma'am has made me to enjoy the essence of what my dears have gone through!!

Hats off to Bhooma and Lakshmi mesdames !! Once again a great performance by us (I was mentally present, as against in all our boring lectures at college, ha ha ha) !! And i would give THIS------>to our lovely Malathy ma'am as a token of love "that she has graciously extended to us through her valuable and praise-worthy creation"!!.

Just after returning from my exam, I spoke with Bhooma ma'am (could not talk with Lakshmi ma'am, as the phone kept on ringing when I tried to call her) and we had a chat that lasted only for a few minutes as she had some guests who kept her occupied. But her voice reflected the spark of enthusiasm which she willingly radiated (as it did not deviate even a nanometer away from herself right from the time I first met her in Pushpavalli madam's place). Her quick talks and witty behavior are her assets !! Lakshmi madam's kind gestures are in par thereby both of them go hand-in-hand. Kudos to your friendship that extended through IL!!

I missed the delicious dishes and the "delicious most meet". Always my regards and sincere prayers to all my dear ILites. Once again we proved to rock on the platform of success. So we will in the near future.

I have laid out plans and tried discussing the same with my dear friend Meena. With God's grace if everything works on the chalked line, we will accomplish what we had planned (let me keep that in secret).

I was wondering you all were just in your teens and why did you give yourself that increment to twenty !!!!

As I had told in my very first write up about the previous meet, you all (though have not seen you personally, will surely ascertain when we meet ) are not "oldies" but "GOLDIES" we all are preserving (will you ask me where??..... soft corner in our divine, pure and blessed hearts). !!

Sure ma'am, very soon we shall get together for a "record-breaking" performance !!

Hi everyone
Thanks for all the good things you have said about our meet. It was a success because of everyone pitching in their lot. We missed Chitra, Pushpavalli,Ramya,Meena and all the others who could not make it. In fact as I was telling everyone on Friday evening I was very depressed that our meet would not be anything to talk about as not many had signed up to come and even among those who had promised earlier, Sunitha Bagla, Janani and some others backed out due to personal reasons. To top it all Kanaka called up in the morning to say she could not make it. I did not let her finish her sentence, and said "Oh no Kanaka don't say you can't come. You must make it." Make she did and what a meet it was! Varaloo with her ready wit, Viji, Jayanthi and Uma with their quiet soft conversation and Little Brinda running around like an angel, the whole thing was superb. I was the only one who was terrified of dogs. But Joshua with his naughty pranks has won my heart. I think he is my best friend now.
I am really grateful to Ilites for giving me such wonderful friends. I am especially happy to have found Bhooma.
As Bhooma had written. We had an extended shopping session at sankara hall and then wow! The wonderful coffee at her sister's place was the icing on the cake.
Before I end this I must tell you how Kanaka and I met. I had given her Bhooma's sister's house address as opposite Stefan's cabs. She rang me up saying,”Lakshmi, I am in front of Stephans cabs, but I can’t see you. I came out of the gate and like in a mystery story I said,” Look around Kanaka I am in a yellow sari. And all this bang in front of her.” Whata laugh we all had.!

Hey Varloo, you write so well! Enjoyed reading the refreshing account of the latest meed. Oh my, the food items were mind boggling...I am now eagerly waiting to see the pictures. You described the house and the food with such detail and enthusiasm, looks like you were immensely impressed. Well, so was I, after reading all that.

I will seriously start thinking about moving house to Chennai!!!!

I am one of those who missed this meeting. AS my BIl was landing for my MIL ceremony, and the flight timings got missed. thought he was coming in the evening and i could make it...but could not...Infact had made a batch of cookies to bring..now it is being shared between bil,SILs...

Bhooma,sorry for not calling up to tell you about not attending..and I would really had loved the meet...

Missed meeting Varloo,kanaka, lakshmi,viji,uma and all...may be next time..let me keep my fingers crossed....

Waiting to see some snaps loaded to know the faces..though bhooma,varloo and kanaka are known to me... would like to know others ....

Definitely Indus is making waves...malathy and jey should be proud of their brainchild growing leaps and bounds beyond boundaries...

I am an unlucky one always missing the IL meets... This time also Varloo called up the day before the meet and asked me if I am coming... I couldn't come because of my daughter's school interview... Missed u all...

Seeing all happy faces in the snaps, i really feel envy to you all... Hope I can meet you all in the next meet...
