Awesome Atlantans - Jan 12th Meet!! :)

Hi All,

Sorry, but I just couldn't resist putting our Awesome Atlantans tag in the heading! It just sounds so cool...

We had a get together of the Atlanta ILites on January 12th at an Indian restaurant called "Swapna" in Atlanta.

Raji, Nivedi and I came with our families. Raji came with her husband Mani and 2 lovely daughters Akila and Sindhu. Nivedi came with her husband Gopal and I was there with my hubby Akhil and baby Diya.

We had a lunch buffet which was quite delicious..mix of south and north indian dishes was there. We chatted for about 2 hours on sundry stuff interspersed by running after Diya (who thought that the entire restaurant was her play room and kept running after waiters and between tables). Raji and her 2 daughters were heaven sent..they took great care of Diya and kind of baby sat her while I quickly had my lunch....

The best part of the luncheon was getting to meet Raji and Nivedi after so long...and chatting and catching up...both of them (and their families) are such nice people that you would love to meet them again and again...

Oh, and incidentally the husbands got along famously too! In fact as Sindhu remarked, it seemed as if they had formed a IndusMen group, the way they were chatting and laughing amongst themselves. In fact when we tried to get up from the table after 2-3 hours, the IndusMen pulled us down and made us sit for a last round of rasmalai...as how could we leave without a last round of sweets!

Dear Aarushi,

By writing and posting pictures of the Awesome Atlantans, you have become a familiar figure to me! I feel I know you very well now:) Diya has grown since the last pictures and looks like she has more hair now.
I feel like I also know Nivedi, for some reason, she has a very familar face!
I think I am seeing Raji and family for the first time...and ofcourse, ALL of you look awesome!
So we have our own group of Indusmen it seems?!!...good good:)
Enjoyed your write up and pictures. Thanks for sharing.

Oh...btw, the T-shirts really help in making you all look markedly awesome:))

As Kamla said, U and Nivedi's face are now familiar ones...Raji's too will become familiar to us by the time u meet next time

U all look awesome together....Its good that the "Indusmen" too get along nicely.....here I have got in touch with a IL(jayasree)..we will be meeting soon....we often speak over the phone...and even our DHs have spoken and they too are eager to meet after they chatted few times.
The forum should be better called Indusfamilies....

As Kamla ma'am has mentioned, your good self, Raji ma'am n Nivedi ma'am look awesome in ur IL T-Shirts..

Nice to know that the bond IL creates is extending beyond Indus Ladies..May many more great times follow you all..

Yes, Diya has more hair now and is no more a 'baldy'..

Raji was there in the very first meet that was held in August last yr in Olive Garden...but yes, her family was not in the pix then...:)

Good to know that you also are planning to meet a fellow ILite. It indeed is great fun, believe me! And the friendship is instantaneous...I guess because you have interacted already so much online...

I agree, IL has indeed brought families closer....

Hi Janani,

First of all, thank you for noticing that I have lost some weight...*jumping with joy*... Its tough to get rid of all the post partum weight, but I'm slowly trying to lose it..one pound at a time....

Yeah IndusMen will be tough to compete...but as Sindhu (Raji's daughter) said, she would love to form an IndusKids section...so maybe that will give them competition...
