Note: For the benefit of those non-Tamil ILites - the word Margazhi in the title of this thread stands for the name of the current Tamil month (during December in English month)

Hello Chennai IL'ites ("repeat performers" rightly said by Mrs.C),

Kudos to all of you who made for this meet-up.

Special thanks to Ramya Vardarajan & Meenaneelakantan, you both made me feel that I was right amongst you all in the meet (got the feel of the yummyness in the spread too!). I wish you both great success with the careers you are going to start sooner.

Ramya, it's so kind of you to mention about an award for me and Jey. Please let me to repeat, we only originated this platform but it turned out into a successful platform bonding everyone with endless friendships irrespective of age, because of wonderful members like you.

My heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Pushpvalli(& Mr.Srinivasan) for taking turns with the hospitality extented to Chennai IL'ites. You both were very nice to accomodate everyone in your "Sriniketan" home.

Needless to mention Mrs.Chitvish's energry to participate in such meet-ups or to host one. I am still ing, Mrs.C, reading about the ginger-pulav and sweet-n-sour pickle. That would be great for cold season here (like what Kamla said). Thank you for sharing the pictures as always. (Only now I seem to be noticing your smile after so many IL'ites mentioning about it. So is that the secret behind the youngness at your heart???)

Look forward to read about the repeat performance - I mean the next IL'ites meet!

Malathy

Dear Malathy ma'am (our most esteemed 'Indus Lady')

Thanks a million! for visiting this thread n for posting your reply amidst your busy schedule ma'am.

I thought of a best way for showing my gratitude towards you & Mr.Jey for you are the ones who made n will continue to make IL meets possible...So thinking.....i was lost in woods. There i met beauty n freshness along the way and asked them to join me in thanking two great people on earth..So they immediately stole themselves from the woods n entered my heart for that is where you happen to stay ..And you know what..they reflected my inner conscience saying,

"The feeling of gratefulness you have for the successful couple on earth is beyond verbalization. Why do you want to spoil the beautiful feel, by a mere thanks? Words unexpressed has more profound meaning & everlasting touch, so let it be unexpressed as such."

The wonderful SEED you both have planted with the label 'IL' two years ago, is now known to be the fastest growing tree on earth! The only tree which gives LOVE instead ofFRUITS and AFFECTION instead of FLOWERS! The LATEX part too is not missed in our IL tree..They are the drops of TEARS coming out of pain when a LEAF knows that her fellow leaf is surrounded by various kinds of PARASITES . The SOFT BREEZE is the CARE each one of the leaves share with one another. Who told the leaves dont speak???...The RUSTLING SOUND is the result of all leaves PRAYING, 'Long Live Mrs.Malathi & Mr.Jey!'

But you may wonder why leaves come n go now n then..Bcos they always know that, whenever they come again, after a small or a long gap, there will always be TWO GREAT ROOTS here, to accept them and to support them anytime 24*7..

Thanks a lot ma'am for your kind wishes.

If at present God comes in front me n asks, "Child, am here to offer you a boon. You can ask me anything under this sun." My reply would be, "God, i dont want you to make me rich, i dont want you to shower more happiness on me, i dont want you to bless me with peace.... I want to be an active member of IL always, even after i start my career and whatever work comes my way...'Cos if you grant me this wish, I'll get the above three n even more abundance in my life."

I'm looking forward to meet you n Mr.Jey in one of our IL meets here at the earliest ma'am. I know you wont disappoint your IL'ites .

Love
Meena

Yes Chitra.. like i mentioned I would like to host the next meet at my place ( read as sisters' house ... albeit mine till she returns i dont know if it would be ok to hold it on the 12th or would 19th be more appropriate ?

Hats off to Pushpa mam and all of us!
Yesterday was a day to remember. I never felt that I am new to this group. I was welcomed with open hands by all as soon as I introduced myself as lakshmi1945. As Pushpavalli and Chitra have mentioned we never felt our age . Infact the youngsters Ramya,Meena , Gayathri and all the youngsters made us feel young again. Chit vish, waiting for the recipes of ginger pulao and fizzy cola cake. Pushpa mam, the ambience was excellent. i fell in love with your house. Next time when we i.e.Bhooma and I co-host you must ask Mr. Srinivasan too to come. Priya I am waiting to show you the neckace I have made. I am glad that Ilites has brought a wonderful friend in Bhooma living so near me. Thanks for the photo. I really feel a true member of Ilite after viewing the photo.
Lakshmi
Dear Lakshmi,
As you have mentioned in your reply to Ramya, I too feel that she had given a juicy and elborate narration about the meet. She got all the qualifications to act as PRO and had proved it now. She and Meena had saved me from writng about the meet as they had not missed even a single point in their write up. In fact all who have attended the meet made it a grand success. Chithra's contribution of the yummy yummy tasty dishes and her interaction with all made it wonderful! to her!
Love,
Pushpavalli

Dear Malathy,
I have nothing to say about the meet except that you... you ....you and you only is responsible for these extravaganzas of Chennaites. because you had started this site and sitting back quietly at a far off place and making all others dance! Hi, I know how much hardwork you and your hubby must have put in to design this wonderful site.
to both of you!
Love,
Pushpavalli

Dear most and admirable Induslady (lovable Malathy ma'am),

A heart felt welcome to this thread that is spreading enthusiasm and energy in all the ILites for a couple of days!! A contended mind is what a man can enjoy as his greatest blessing. But am unable to make myself contended when it comes to IL and another IL meet !!. We shared a lot from our Senior ILites and i feel there is lot more to share from the "wise and noble" who make IL a dear place to reside at.

Everything originates in a will for the good and i rely on the fact that "best is yet to be faced and relished". I thank you whole heartedly on behalf of all the ILites for having knitted our friendship and relationship on a single string of pleasure.

A grateful heart should always be honored and am pleased to take the lead. I experienced that gratitude filled my heart when i enjoyed the uniqueness in all the ILites i met. There was a sudden rush of adrenaline and a famous quote by Johannes A. Gaertner strikes me which is "To speak gratitude is courteous and pleasant, to enact gratitude is generous and noble, but to live gratitude is to touch Heaven".

Regards
RamyaVaradharajan
