Dear Kamla ma'am,

A heart felt thanks for having enriched this thread by your valuable feed back. Absolutely true ma'am. The place was energized and flavored by not only the dishes but mainly with the "knowledge cascade" of our Senior ILites !!

Ah.. It was the aroma of the "ILites throng" that boosted the energy in me.

My prayers and regards for a successful IL meet in the U.S.

Regards
RamyaVaradharajan

Here I go..:bowdo wn ....
That's for all you enthusiastic Chennai IL'ites! You seem to be really 'living it up' over there. Many of us are unable to bring even one get together to stand...I have lost the count in Chennai!

Thanks for the write up and thanks Chithra for the photo!

Thank you very much dear most Srini ma'am,

As soon as we entered madam's place, their house name struck me and I showed it to my friend MeenaNeelakantan and both of us had your memories ma'am. True.

Very happy that we could make other ILites feel at home by sharing our experience.

Enjoy the weather and take good care of your health ma'am.

Dear Aarushi ma'am,

Am really very pleased and contended to see the feed backs from "tagged" ILites :hat soff.

As i had already mentioned, the meet was really a treat for all our senses. No restrictions, no generation-gap, no gossips, and absolutely zero partiality !! What else do we (the juniors in IL) would have expected while dreaming about the meet prior to the day it actually occurred ?? Each and every ILite exhibited their own uniqueness which attracted me a lot !! The grace with which the meet went on bowled off all the tensions that usually use to creep in our daily schedule.

Why not a short cut from Atlanta to Chennai :):):) Yes ma'am, i can understand your feel !! You are always welcome to join us in the next meet . Your hearty presence was felt in each and every one us yesterday too !!

Regards
RamyaVaradharajan

Ramya - thanks for doing such a great write up for the rest of us who could not attend the meet!!

Now I wish that Chennai was right beside Atlanta... so that I could hop in to the next meet!

love,
Aarushi

Unhappy Re: "The IL's Maargazhi Twin Feast"-meet that gained momentum

Dear Ramya and Dear Chithra,
I could not find words to express my greatfulness to both of your write up regarding the meet. Dear Chithra, thank you for posting the picture
I have not taken the picture of the dishes because I have not prepared anything except the salad. As I had taken the pictures in a new camera I could not post the pictures. I found some problem while installing the software. As soon as I install it, I"ll post the pictures. Last evening some guests had arrived and they left only in the afternoon. Hence I had no time to open the computer also. I feel Ramya had exagarated about our hospitality and I really feel very much embarassed. We all really enjoyed the meet and we felt as if we were all bound with the cord of love. All gracious oldies and budding bubbling energised youngsters did not find the so called generation gap.
Chitra was so sweet to bring her yummy tasty ginger pulav, the cococola cake, the sweet and hot pickle, all mouth watering ones.
The whoe Menu:

1. Sambar rice 2. Coconut rice 3 Pulihorai 4. Kalkandu rice 5.Curd rice
Tomato raitha, Aviyal, sweet fruit raitha and mango pickle
Methu vadai, Appalam, (Potato and banana chips brought by Lakshmi and Bhooma )and Gulabjamun. As I was expecting 19 persons I had ordered catering. But altogether we were only 11 persons.
Sorry for not posting the pictures and I hope to post them by tomorrow. Thanks for all the Ilites who made the meet a memorable one and for Preethi a special thanks for joining us. Preethi is a fashion jewel designer and she was wearing a bluestoned jewelry matching with her dress which was very beautiful. She started it as a hobby and now some of her friends are showing interest and requesting her to make for them also.

Love,
Pushpavalli

Hi Janani (Ramya is Janani for me..we both are classmates and good buddies)

Nicely written up. Without knowing that you have started this thread n that it has attracted many, i was playing games in IL early morning today (see how playful i am unlike you, who has carried the responsibility of starting a fantastic thread about our great meet..Learn from me yaar ) n went out for the rest of the day..got to see this thread jus now..
I opened this thread expecting a poem from you about our get together.

You have described about each n everything in a fine way here. So will add jus a few more from my side..

We all had a very nice time together n i owe all that to Pushpavalli ma'am..
Thanks a ton aunty for ur great efforts n for making it so well! Right from the moment we stepped in, i could see only smiles on your face which never vanished even for a microsecond. Even now your smiling face comes n goes in front of my eyes every five minutes. Mr & Mrs. Srinivasan's hospitality is beyond words. When i told Srinivasan uncle that Pushpavalli aunty has written a lot about you in her threads, uncle told "With who else she has got rights to write about..She has got rights only on me and i have given her full freedom to write anything about me". Even though we were all ladies there, uncle was very freely interacting with all of us. Uncle has a passion for gardening and the way they are maintaining their garden drew all of our attentions.
Now comes Chitra aunty's recipes. Ah..The taste of colorful sweet n sour lemon pickle, coco-cola cake and ginger pulao even now lingers in my mouth! Waiting to taste such delicious items once again..One can never forget Chitra aunty's charming face even if he/she sees Chitra aunty jus for a fraction of second. You prove to be a not only in making mouth watery dishes but also in each and every movement of yours ma'am. Without you this IL meet would have turned out to be nothing..You remain to be a great sort of inspiration for all us. dear Chitra aunty for whatever you are to all of us now..
Lakshmi aunty and Bhooma aunty are from the same place and they stay very nearby but they got to know about this only through posts in IL after Pushpavalli ma'am announced the meet. I think IL will win the first prize if a competition is held on chemistry. That many covalent n hydrogen bonds it creates followed by hydrophobic n ionic interactions.

Mrs. MalathyVaradharajan (Subham), Ramya, myself, Mrs.Chitra, Mrs.Pushpavalli, Mrs.MalathiJagan, Mrs.SudhaBalaji, Mrs.Preethi, Mrs.Bhooma, Mrs. Lakshmi.. this is the list of IL's family members who had a great time n fun yesterday..Hope many of my fellow IL'ites will join us in the next family gathering and make this family members list a very lengthy one..

Love
Meena

Dear Varloo ma'am,

Thank you very much for your kind feed back. Very well said. Chitvish ma'am is an honorary and humble "queen" !! She can make any wither flower bloom by her culinary expertise and experience. (Even the tongue that goes numb after experiencing the beetle leaf will beg to return to life to taste Chitvish ma'am special). The combined hospitality of Pushpavalli ma'am and her husband, left us spell-bound.

Really only yesterday i could understand that "age" is no criterion in the stage of life. Its just for a statistical purpose as a proof of our numerical days on earth. How active they all were !!! I will bow my head silently to all the great and smart IL "oldies"

"Oldies" ???????? Na.... "Goldies" .......

Next meet hopefully and with God's grace should attract more ILites so that we get to quench our thirst for knowledge !!

No need to say about Chithra's culinary expertise, even hot water would have a uique 'CHITVISH' taste to it.
About Pushpavalli ma'am's kaimanam, well, the coconut burfi which she brought for the last meet at Chithra's home is proof enough.
And it is really nice to know that you all enjoyed a beaufitul and fruitful (and stomach full) afternoon together.
Next is Bhomma's turn, it seems. I hope I do not get other hurdles during that time.

Dear most Meenakshi,

Thank you very much for having added on to my notes !! Am really very thankful to Meenakshi since it was because of her that i could attend such a great and enjoyable meet!! Thank you very much dear.

Very well said!! Yes, hither-to too many bonds of attractions!! But am amazed that the positive forces are balanced by the positive oriented actions; unlike the literary "chemistry" . IL has provided a platform of exposure to build the so-called generation gap that is pronounced more often in this fast webbing e-world. Kudos to Mrs.Malathy ma'am and Jey sir who had the initiative of implementing the IL program (site) and now they are the successful partners shining their way amongst us !!

I have heard about the Time magazine's "Person of the year" award !! Hope if there is "Couple of the year" award i would undoubtedly point out and zero in our Induslady and her better half!!!!!!! How can i miss out on Pushpavalli madam's hospitality and her cute smiling face. Its still vibrant in me !! And of course Srinivasan sir's gardening skills made us feel we were in heaven for a short period !! Hats off to the "Goldies" who made us feel at home by their king gestures.

Yes, IL has brought together the different faces together irrespective of the directions they live in !! It is on a brighter note that we will be arranging another IL meet that would be hosted by both Bhooma ma'am and Lakshmi ma'am.

Bhooma ma'am was very kind enough in presenting all of us with cute and small book-marks which will be treasured and will remind the glorious IL meet which we had experienced, every time we use the same. Her witty talks covered all of us .

Thank you once again Meenakshi for having dropped in your valuable feed back. In fact i was expecting the same yesterday. I did think of sketching the same as a poem, but thought a narrative would highlight our experiences better !!
