| Hi all, Now it is my turn. Actually veda had given a call to mr.sri, the day he dropped in Chennai, but mrs.sri said that he was little down. We were both worried. Gave a call in the evening, and were told he was sleeping. We did not want to disturb them. So we just thought we will rest it for few days and give a call on Monday. But the surprise was on us. It so happened that Sri wanted to give a call, and had been trying to get our number. So he had called all the received calls on that day…asking for a veda… (really we are honoured for the affection). He told us that he was feeling better. We told him we will try to meet him in the evening or on Monday morning. Then veda called chitramam, and told her we would like to drop in for a few minutes. She was actually going somewhere with her family..but we still barged in…(thanks chithramam for actually accommodating us) We dropped in at chitramam’s flat. The entrance with two bowls of flowers..admiration starts there…and mr.vish opened the door. A warm welcome. She is as she came across to me on the site. Effervescent and bubbly full of life. A lesson to learn??? We really enjoyed talking to her. Her joy for sharing what she knows and has learnt is to be appreciated. Veda really enjoyed all the sweets.. and mam he was really saying you restrain from eating only to show that I gorge on ….I used to always think yes I can ask chitmam, if I have any doubts/problems (since mom/mil are no more). This meeting has given me the strong “YES” she is there as the motherly figure for who want to seek her. Three cheers to her ![]() ![]() …..Mam your pillaiyar is now going to We left with the satisfaction of spending some time with a very dear one..and with the want of spending more time…. Hope we did not bore/eat up your time?? The next visit was to sri. (cheeniya..even before meeting him I was more comfortable addressing him sri…though I am younger …it is kind of rapport..) My first glimpse of mrs.sri was from the window..we were actually asking the guard sri’s address. And there I see this sweet lady peeping out of the window and I thought she is mrs.sri. and she confirmed asking us veda? The moment we step out of the lift , both of them were there waiting to receive us…to see him standing at the door with his wife was really a moment we cherish. Sri came across as the same humorous and experience person to whom I relate to his posts. Mrs.Sri, the silent member of our forum. She knows most of the happenings in il. (mam, veda wanted to eat the maa ladoos..but somehow missed out…said your sundal was too good) Seeing them both, you can see the companionship, understanding radiating. The love for their family is very vibrant both in their talk and at home. For all the MIL talks that are happening here, you have to see the love and affection with which mrs.sri talks about her mil and ofcourse sri’s love for his mother. We missed meeting a great person sri’s mother. I could go on and on about both of them. But want to cut it short here. Two different personalities both sri & chitramam, the common thing is their zest for life, joy of sharing their experiences. And both have counterparts who are proud and supportive to the fullest. I hope we have come across as the same people who interact with you .

| Dear Shanti & Veda, It is not anymore Shanvy & Vysan ! We are done with formalities, after meeting in person ! You are the second I L Couple, I meet, next to V R & Indhusri. You both came across as very warm, affectionate and friendly couple. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you both & time just flew past. Tell me, is there any topic (in IL) that we did'nt touch & go ? Veda, if you had looked forward to a spiritual looking person with rudraksham etc, you must have got a real shock. I am as "house wifely" & "mami-like" as any Mylapore senior citizen is - nothing more, nothing less ! ![]() I admired most in you, your concern for the elders in our families & society at large. That awareness is sadly lacking for many. Veda's father is really blessed. Shanti, you are as bubbly as your posts reveal & I liked your effervescence. The bonding that I L creates in connecting strangers, is felt by me, everytime I L ites visit me. It is as though we just continue from where we stopped. Though on a short visit, that you both found time, showed interest & did visit me & Sri, only proves, IL does connect people, irrespective of age. Veda & Shanti, for the next visit , please come for lunch or dinner. For all the love you showed me, you cannot go unpunished ! Love, Chithra. |

| Dear friends, Now that Shanti & Veda have won the best post award for september, you must be all curious to see them. They are very much in love with each other, as their post declares ! Being a "much married" woman, I could sense that. It was my pleasure to meet them, as well. Pray Goddess Meenakshi blesses them with very good health, peace of mind, happiness & prosperity. Please find the photo of the "love-couple" posted below for your viewing peasure. |

| Wow, another ILiite meet, though a very informal one. Veda and Shanthi, it was so nice of you people to meet both Cheeniya sir and Chithra, even in the tight schedule. Yes, Chithra defies all imagination, she makes you feel that you have known her for ever. I am yet to meet Cheeniya sir, but Mrs.Indira is a very silent observer and achiever. Chithra was saying that she was getting even new recipes from her. And she looks so very young. And do try to plan well next time so that many of us can meet you people. And do pay me a visit too, I shall be very happy to receive you. Chithra, you are amazing, I do not know what else to say. You have made your home another haven for us ILiite. We cannot thank you enough for that and also for the love you spread. |

| Dear Vysan and Shanvy, My compliments to both of you. Both are looking great and justifying the title of 'made for each other', 'adarsh couple'. Your account of meeting ChitVish and Cheeniya has evoked lot of interest in me and when next I may visit India , meeting these two jambhavans of IL is going to be one of my definite itenaries. Wish you all the best. Regards, TDU |

Tobe very frank and honest with you, that was my original image of you... I dont have any doubts, you are typical Mylapore next-door-mami with whom we can take all liberties and talk on various subjects... I can vouch for it... Please dont take me on the wrong... It was meant as a compliment... Thanks for the Invitation for lunch/dinner... I thought I can have both... Since you have put in "or" inbetween, I will leave it to your choice... But I will fix up the date & time 2 days early, so that I can keep fasting to enjoy the punishment... Thanks for your time and glowing writeup... Veda |
