A quick stop in this thread before I hit the bed tonight. Having known Kamla for close to a year through several private message and email conversations, Kamla was just as expected - warm, friendly and with full of love. A few months ago, I visited/stayed with a friend of mine whom I had known for 15 years. That is exactly how I felt at Kamla's place.

If you just learnt that Vajpayee is a black belt in Karate how do you feel? Totally unexpected right? That is how I felt when I started tasting Kamla's food. I dipped in with not high expectations (because Kamla hasn't shared much recipes here and wasn't known for her cooking skills in IL), but then I was bowled over! Every dish tasted so good.

Kamla is one of the best conversationalist I have ever met. Malathy and myself had probably 4 hours of sleep the previous night and we were tired after driving from DC to Kamla's place. But our conversations kept us awake till 1.30am! Kamla was that interesting.

Very true, that Kamla is unbelievably young looking for a grandma. When we told her in person she didn't believe, I know now she should be floating in joy.
