Need info on Corn skewer

Haii Friends,

I want to know what is a corn skewer and how effectively can we use it?
i tried searching in google, but am still confused as to how we can use it for corn.

Corn Skewers are used here in the US ( and may be other countries too) to hold the corn while eating. In India, when we get the roasted "butta" on the road side, the corn comes with part of the stem to hold it. Here, the corn we get is usually bald on both sides, making it messy to hold and eat. So this is to help in the "fine art " of eating corn. Each skewer is poked into either side of the corn and then the skewers are used as handles!. Here are a few pictures for you:

Got a good idea now. I am now in US, and i checked this at a store today, and was wondering what cud be its use.
Anyway, am going back to india soon within 10 days...
