| Hi All, I live in an apartment. It has become hard to open and close the entrance door. Everytime we have to push very hard or struggle pulling/pushing the knob. I tried applying oil but it did not help. What can be applied to ensure that the wooden door is easy to open and close. TIA

| Dear Leo, Wooden doors tend to expand and contract with the changing weather temperatures. My husband usually tightens the hinges or loosens it and somehow, the sunken door and the friction caused by it then stops allowing a smoother functioning of the doors. If you don't know how, you should call the maintenance people of your apartment. They will fix it and it should not cost you at all. Best of luck. L, Kamla |
