Shopping near Charminar

I would really like to know any names of bangles shops,salwars shop you know that have nice collections, in Laad Bazaar.This is the first time I am visiting this place and probably the last since I am moving to chennai soon,so I would really to buy some nice salwars,bangles at good rates.ALso is there anything else that one should own after some time of stay in Hyderabad like I know that they should atleast have bangles from charminar shops,others than this is there anything else?

hi,

bangles .....cant suggest a specific shop choose the shop which dispalys the bangles well( u have to bargain a lot) .for laces in kudan and chamki go to k.c kasat.....its on laad bazar. u get the laces which u can keep on sarees and motifs which we can keep on salwars, they are excellent( u wont get like them in chennai......and i shoped lots from there) .they also have a branch in ram kotee.u can also buy lac kumkum box and key chains in laad bazar and other small items.mehandi powder is also good there.

u can go to shringar jewellery in begum bazar,its a whole sale shop for 1 gram jewellery. they have loads and loads of jewellery at reasonable prices.

for regular casual salwars u can check in taruni in general bazar or park lanes.

chumki work ones.....u get in and around charminar area.

finally.......lots of biscuits from karachi bakery.

Thanks a lot for ur suggestions,wow quite a shopping to do.I am moving to chennai in 3 weeks and I am starting from shopping spree from tomorrow,hopefully will find time to shop everything in the list.Your reply was definately helpful.

jus plan 1 day for this shopping.take and auto and go as parking is difficult in these places.take a good companion with u .

go as early at 11 to laad bazar, then go to begum bazar which should be around say 15 mins from there.( avoid fridays).actually in the lace shop they attach the lace to sarees and give also,the sell chiffon and georgette saress too.try to pick a couple of themaswell.jus go only to k.c kasat ,all shops have almost the same thing,but this is supposed to be the best.( dont forget to get a white kundan one) u can always use it for gifiting too.

like i got many in 250 range for gifting .......jus got a few for myself as i dont wear much of sarees but now regret.so blow up as much as u can as u can use them any time.

rest u can do at any time of the day.

Hey don't forget pearls from Charminar....

and the lovely pochumpalli sarees...sorry I do not know the name of the place as I am not a native of HYD...but I had bought these when I went there.

In Purana Shahar there is a place called as the 'Patel Market'. Whenever I visit Hyderabad I do my shopping for clothes from there. The rates are reasonable,and there is vast variety to choose.
