Hi Viji,

How old is your son? If he is interested in Indian Epics, mythology and tales then you can buy him Ramayana, Mahabaratha, Sri Krishna, etc.. lots of comic books are there where children enjoys a lot to read.

And according to your interest you can try reading different books. Check out Book Lovers forum in IL, you will have an idea on what to buy and read!
