restaurent business--how much investment needed?

i am asking this question for one of my friend,who wanted to start a restaurent business..
she said that ,she is having 5 lakhs and wanna start.i dont have any idea about that,but i thought,i can ask our il friends.

can she start a good restaurant in hyd?

she lives near hi-tech city,so some kms away from there.

if not a restaurant, what kind of business,related to that she can starrt?

are there any websites?

are does she need to contact anybody regarding her business?

from where to procure equipment?

what other steps to take?

i doesn't know much about situations there now?

as a friend she shared her opinion with me.

i wanna share our ils opinion n ideas, so that we might help her.

well.. iam looking for a partner to start a udipi hotel .. i hold the sum of 6 lakhs and i have seen a place in main area at hyderabad.
