Need guidance and advise for shopping in Hyderabad

Hi Ladies

I am going to visit Hyderabad and have a wedding coming up in the family .

Can anyone suggest where I would find exclusive collections for sarees (both traditional and designer).

Also can use suggestions about exclusive, collection for chudidaar and salwar kameez( I have heard about some boutiques in Jubilee Hills, Banjara hills and Hyderguda......but i neeed the names !!!)

Need some good tailor recommendations as well.

I know I can trust the sweet ladies of Hyderabad for some guidance and advise !

Is this your first visit to Hyderabad, if so take someone who know is very popular with areas and shops. Well, you can also browse hyderabad forum as earlier our friends has discussed about few shopping areas.

Also check our apparel forum for latest sarees to have and idea before going to shop!

Now, for designer wear sarees and dress materials or ready mades you can visit Meena Bazar, Mebaz, Tarunis, Neerus, Da Design, Srishti, Brisha, Kalanjali, R.S.Brothers and CMR Mall all these shops at Somajiguda, Punjagutta, Banjara Hills and Ameerpet. Also try at Charminar, exclusive wedding stores will be there and you get nice work sarees there.

And almost all shops have there own tailoring section there itself, so not to worry a lot about it

However I am looking for specifics…if any of IL ladies can help me with that.

For instance you mentioned Charminar …From what we have heard there are far too many wedding shops in Charminar and for someone like me who is out of town and got little time on hands, its not exactly a great way to start!

Perhaps a specific shop name in Charminar would be a better clue for me.

Coming to the tailors ----I am not too fond of the “inhouse “ones.
I am sure they get the job done, but I have seen the work. I had to keep coming back for alterations!

I am looking for a good, noted, reputed tailors who are know for their work. I would really appreciate some suggestions

Regarding saree shops in Charminar,there is on Chavi Sarees,they have beautiful collection of work sarees in many varieties,its just before Charminar,there is junction with a fountain in the middle,take right from that junction.

Coming to the tailors,this person stitches very well but takes atleast 2/3 weeks in peak season,no compromise on that.

I have heard about one in Hyderguda and couple in Jubilee and Banjara Hills.

Also from the list that Senorita gave, I think I know some from my past visit. But some sound new. “Da Design and Srishti. Kindly let me know where they are located.

As a side note I realized after having gone through some posts that most ladies ask and seek a good tailor. I think I might start a new thread for that.
