Red face Traffic in Hyderabad..

One of the most disappointment in Twin cities is disorganized traffic. Hyderabad has grown beyond its capacity, in every sense like job opportunities are vast. Its really irritating and difficult to reach office in peak hours and returning home.

One can never reach office in time nor home. Especially new fly overs at Begumpet, Panjagutta, Somajiguda has caused a lot of trouble to commuters. And that collapse event of Punjagutta fly over has made some many people not to travel on it. Don't know still how many days they are going to rebuild that The roads here are much better than in Chennai or Bangalore, but traffic sense is so bad. That people jump red lights or drive in the middle of a road turning left and turning right the other moment without any care for vehicles behind or ahead.

The main reason is we don't follow traffic rules..
Can we come up with an idea to solve the traffic problem in Hyderabad. What do you all want to say about traffic problem in Hyderabad.

Hi Senorita,

Interesting topic senorita.Being a Hydearabadi myself,i can definitely say ours is one of the worst traffic senseless city.I don't think its only Hyderabad but other cities are alike, but i feel ours tops the list.People are so desperate sometimes if i am driving and unfortunately in front line when its red,but there is no traffic on the other side where its green,i don't move from my place as its red for me,but people at the back honk the horns so horribly as though i am making a mistake. What do you say for this.

Its not flyovers,Outer ring roads,4/6/8lanes that are going to improve the traffic, first people should obey the rules and regulations.
Bye
Lathaa

Hi Senorita & latha,

1.Hyderabadi's can get rid of the traffic problem once the MTRS project gets completed. For more details you can see this link
Hyderabad Mass Rapid Transit System - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I heard that our CM is keen on completing this project. Then you can relax and enjoy your commuting listening to your favorite FM channel.
2.Another major solution can be by inculcating civic sense among people.

Regards,

ManuuRaghuu

Hi, today i saw in news paper that 50 more FOB's (Foot over bridges) to come up in city! Isn't that good news to avoid foot crossing accidents and jam to traffic by pedestrians.

But to my utmost shock i still see people who are not using FOB's and taking normal foot crossing in main place like Ameerpet. Even tough foot over bridge has been inaugurated.

Hmmm may be people are still not yet started using them or just picking short cut! What ever may be i think even we public also should help our selves for a better Traffic solutions.

And hope every one know how will we get struck in traffic if it rains in the city, it will be very difficult to get out of that jams with all those rainy and drainage water comming on to roads!

I feel Educating people about traffic rules and civic sense is the only solution because roads her much better that other cities of India Even on 4 lane road at jubilee hills you see a Traffic jam.

Default hi everybody.........

hello elaa unnaru andaru........today i want to talk a little abt traffic in hyd.my god!!!!!!!!!!!day by day traffic is becoming terrible in the city.person left from the house will return back or not is not known.my child is suffering from bronchial asthma.we went to hospital yesterday.it was just 6-7 kms from our house but it took 2 hrs for us to reach hospital.and adding to that....there is severe air pollution.smoke from the vehicles is unbearable for normal people.....n u can guess what will be the position of asthma patients.my son suffered a lot that night.we cannot take them atleast to a hospital.whom should we blame for this condition?we r all citizens of this country....n each of us has some responsibility towards our city.we should think atleast abt our children.otherwise....our children would face very severe problems in the future.
