Opinion/Feedback/Review on DLF Gardencity OMR

we are all set to book a flat in the DLF Gardencity on OMR road (near sholinganallur).

just wanted to get review/feedback/opinion from people who have had any good/bad experiences by bookings there..

Will be useful to if u share the details.. I heard that 2270 to 2750 is the square feet... Is it true?

yes, the rate we finalized is 2750 per sq feet. and it increases by 40 rs per sq feet - per floor from thr 4th floor onwards...

only thing is - someone told my in-laws that they not yet got approval and might not complete on time, etc... so now we worried and wondering whether its a good option...

Hi Jhalli , Generally for these kind of qns, Shanthi(Shanvy) gives very good advices and informations.I do not see her much these days for some reasons.

This is the info I have about DLF Project:

I heard that they do not have proper approvals and fund to finish the project.And one of my friend's relative chose to quit , and he is not receiving his money back.

I do not want to discourage you .But this is the info I have.Please do the ground work before you book the flat.

thats exactly even what we heard and the reason for me to post this thread here. infact we already gave a post dated cheque for this month end.. and then heard abt approval issues. we too heard tht once money is given, its impossible to get it back...

the positive thing is, we still have time to cancel/block/stop pay the cheque. also, if the bank itself does not approve the project, it will obviously not give the loan also.. wondering what to do. go ahead or cancel it all. its a big decision.. to buy the flat and even bigger decision not to. very confused..

anyways, hoping for the best... and that we see the right things before its too late!

actually the DLF project issuue came in tv news itself. have they started the project ? as per the news, the builder had promised to start the project in some date and...even after a year or so they had not started at all....so all the people were furious about it and wanted their money back , but they would not get their full money ...this was the news. .....so y try into such an isssue -filled project and repent later(may or may not )? buying a flat is a big investment of a life time.....so y rely only of DLF when there r soo many many projects coming up in and around OMR???

DLF, has been in lot of controversies. I would not say that you need to steer clear of the project. it is a ok viable project. but DLF has been in problems. There was lot of news in the business section. that they are having some issues with the projects in delhi.

But some of my acquaintance who had booked with this project have gone back and cancelled their booking. there have been delays.

you have too many projects in line on this. like bollineni, olympia, hiranandani, akshaya, l&t to name.

whichever project, today add a year + to the completion dates that the project talks about.

If you have already booked, just google for the groups. i think there is a yahoo group for dlf. maybe you can join and check out the discussions.

oops. DLF had a problem with the B'lore apts too. I read about it in the papers here. BBMP had issued a warning to buyers of the particular project in the newspapers - same thing they had no approvals and were booking apts. Two days later, another message by BBMP was published in the papers claiming DLF had applied for approval and that DLF had paid for the add in the paper and BBMP had obliged them and placed the message in the paper(funny I know)...

Didn't want to scare anyone but make sure approvals are all done before you book with any builder. Better safe than sorry!
